  • You might also perform size-up dribbles

We have 2K21 MT always prided ourselves as being the most basketball simulation on the current market, and that will never change. But among the challenges that we face is striking the proper balance between making a game that's fun and enjoyable for a wide assortment of fans and simulating real life. That is where the debate on Ability Gap vs. Accessibility comes in to play. The target we shoot for is to create a game that's simple to pick up and play for new users while also supplying enough of a skill gap for seasoned users to really showcase their ability. 1 way we set out to accomplish that was through construction out a robust set of sliders and carefully mapping the appropriate settings to all the various modes in our sport.

So whether it is your first time playing against the CPU in Quick Play, messing around with your friends in the Park, or battling in a high stakes Ante Up or competitive Pro-Am match, there is a vast range of gameplay experiences and certainly something for everyone at NBA 2K21. So to sum up this section, I don't really have a fancy back of the box marketing name for the work that went into gameplay equilibrium and"fun-ifying" that the on-court encounter, but I am pretty certain that longtime lovers of 2K basketball will soon notice the improvements and appreciate what the group was able to achieve.

The Guru Stick was a staple of 2K basketball for years and for the most part, has largely gone unchanged. For NBA 2K21, we saw this as a big opportunity to freshen up the game on the offensive end. In previous games, you could hold the Guru Stick in any way. This was restricting us from using the proper stick as a fully featured dribble stick. So we're making a substantial change to the Guru Stick works. With this shift, we've been able to greatly extend the dribble movement arsenal and give you access to more moves in a more intuitive control strategy.

After a match or 2, it is going to feel instant nature and will have you busting ankles in no time! Together with the remap, the moves themselves have been overhauled to be much more responsive and chain-able. Street moves are moved into a tap of the left trigger as well, which means you won't be shooting off them by accident when you are breaking down defenders at the Park. And for its NBA size-ups, we've added several new signatures like Harden's around the leg dribble, a fresh version of Kobe's dance, and Durant's patented hesi cross.

Still another NBA legend, Nate Robinson, arrived for motion capture this year and gave us some really exceptional moves that I will leave for you to locate also. You might also perform size-up dribbles on the movement by holding the Guru Stick Up and using the left stick to move your player in almost any way. Altogether, you may select from a list of 14 Park and 36 unique NBA Size-ups. And when you factor in all the 1-to-1 size-up bundles and new customizable escape dribbles, there is really no limit to the types of combos you can pull away in NBA 2K21.

Dribble moves weren't the only thing that profited from the Guru Stick update. Bound shooting and finishing in the rim have been points of emphasis. We really wanted to create scoring the basketball an art both from the perimeter and in the rim, so we brainstormed and prototyped a variety of different shooting mechanisms for this season's game. What we settled on was an idea conceptually similar to something we tried in NBA 2K17... Shot Stick Aiming. Aiming did not really work that well in NBA 2K17 because it was a bit buried, did not have a lot of skill built to it, and didn't provide the Buy NBA 2K21 VC user any comments. We took those learnings and used them to make a much better solution this time around.
