  • Biggest Onshoring in US History Will Rebuild America’s Chip Industry: Fmr Under Sec. of State Krach

In 2020, the world’s largest and most advanced chip maker, #Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), announced a plan to build a 12 billion dollar plant in #Arizona. Where they will produce 3 nanometer #chips. This is the largest onshoring in #U.S. history. What is the full strategic meaning of this #onshoring for #America? The biggest onshoring in US history: #TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company) will set off the rebuilding of America’s Chip industry, said former under secretary of State Keith Krach. The U.S. also recently passed several bills that will help America compete effectively with #China in the #hightech arena. How impactful will that legislation be? What are China’s vulnerabilities and how will U.S. capital markets react to the recent disastrous #IPO of #DiDi, China’s version of #Uber?

    • US military jet stops in Taiwan, China angry; Mike Pence: China becoming an ‘evil empire’

The U.S. is strengthening sanctions on China over its genocide against ethnic minorities. A new bill from the Senate bans imports from China’s Xinjiang region. An American military aircraft, stopped briefly in Taiwan. The move angers Beijing —while a Taiwanese lawmaker fights back. Biden’s new Navy secretary nominee says if confirmed, he’ll ‘exclusively focus on the China threat,’ and defend Taiwan ‘as much as humanly possible.’ China is becoming an ‘evil empire,’ and the U.S. may be enabling it. That’s according to former Vice-President Mike Pence. And China sells 550-million vaccine doses to the W.H.O.’s global vaccine program. But a U.S. agency is criticizing Beijing for not donating them instead.

      • America Rewritten | Official Clip | Crossroads

The #Constitution of the United States established the American form of government and radically changed the ideas of where the rights of citizens originate. It's founded on the idea that the role of government is to protect God-given rights. Yet now the doctrine that constitutes America is under assault. #Freedom of speech is being worn down through corporate-government censorship, freedom of belief is being suppressed with lockdowns, the right to bear arms is being called into doubt, and the numerous rights of Americans are in jeopardy. As a new narrative is being taught to America's youth on the founding stories of this country, and as history, itself is being rewritten, what does the future hold for America, once seen as the beacon of freedom and the shining city on the hill? In "America Rewritten," an exclusive special feature from The Epoch Times, we speak with leading experts on how history is being falsified, how the system of government is being misrepresented, and we explore what the world would lose if the American Constitution were lost. Join host Joshua Philipp as he speaks with experts including Dinesh D'Souza, Victor Davis Hanson, Rick Green, Trevor Loudon, Mary Grabar, Thomas K. Lindsay, Kevin Roberts, Craig Parshall, Dustin Bass, and K. Lloyd Billingsley in "America Rewritten."

        • China Regime’s Tough Talk Against U.S. is to Mask its Fragility: Sen. Marsha Blackburn

“Chinese would push as far as they can to steal your intellectual property until you slap their hands, and you call them out on it,” Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) said of her past encounters with China’s regime. This tendency to violate and exploit unceasingly, until its ‘hand gets slapped,’ is reflected in the CCP’s human rights abuses and its behavior in relation to the pandemic. But in these cases, its hand has yet to be slapped. “Since the Biden administration has been so lax on the Chinese Communist Party, you're seeing U.S. corporations and celebrities that are following suit,” Sen. Blackburn said. With 18 months now passed and an estimated 4 million dead across the world, including over 620,000 Americans, serious action to investigate the Wuhan lab-leak origin of the coronavirus is yet to be taken. “We have to know why the Chinese communists hid information, why they destroyed evidence, why they prohibited investigators from getting into that lab. Why they have stopped the investigations into the origins of the COVID-19 virus, because we do not ever want this to happen again.” —Sen. Marsha Blackburn

            • Chinese Communist Party versus the free world: Stephen Yates | China in Focus

“This is the China Communist Party versus the free world, including the Chinese people that are at peace with the free world,” warned Stephen Yates, former deputy National Security Adviser at the White House, about the dangers of the communist regime. In this special episode, we sat down with Stephen Yates, former president of Radio Free Asia, to get his take on the so-called Cold War between the United States and China, the dwindling free press in Hong Kong, and the dangers of the digital world. Yates warned about the dangers of #SocialMedia. He said, “social media, in a way, has been a cancer that has eaten away at manners, at the sense of community.” He also warned that “there is very effective and unhealthy science behind the social media networks that has monetized anger. They exist to make you uncomfortable because you’re more likely to take action on their advertising after you’ve been made uncovered because you will be engaged. If you realize that and you deliberately step out of that universe to try to get other forms of unbiased, unfiltered conversation and thought, I think people will be better off.”

              • Will DIDI Set Off US China Capital Market Decoupling? The Story Behind Didi’s Disastrous IPO

China’s ride-sharing giant DIDI had a disastrous #IPO in the U.S.. Two days after #DIDI was listed on the New York Stock Exchange, the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) announced that Didi would be placed under cybersecurity review. During that review, new users would be banned from accessing the app. On Sunday, the CAC announced that the DIDI app would be removed from all #Chinese app stores. Why Did #China initiate a crackdown on DIDI? Will China prevent its digital giants from filing for an IPO in #America? Is this the beginning of a U.S.-China capital market decoupling? #SimoneGao explains in this episode of #ZoomingInChina Tea Time.

                  • 2 reservoirs burst amid heavy rain in China; US, allies accuse China of global hacking spree

An unusually broad coalition of countries is calling out Beijing for its hacking practices. Its #CyberEspionage campaign is believed to target sensitive technology. Rallies in support of Falun Gong are happening from North America to Europe. The Chinese Communist Party has been waging a brutal persecution against the spiritual movement for 22 years. A surprise addition to the line-up of this year’s Cannes film festival. A documentary is shining a spotlight on Hong Kong’s 2019 pro-democracy protest movement. Heavy rains hit China’s Inner Mongolia region. Two reservoirs have burst, destroying more than 20 bridges. And Chinese telecom company #Xiaomi just leapfrogged Apple — becoming the world’s second largest smartphone vendor. Former U.S. president Trump blacklisted the company. But president Biden removed the label.

                    • Special Episode: Defending U.S. Freedoms and National Security | Wide Angle [Updated]

With China threatening to ‘crack the heads’ of its enemies, a recent Russian cyber-attack on a U.S. pipeline, and terrorist activity rife in the Middle East, is learning critical race theory really the highest priority for U.S. troops? Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL) doesn’t think so. I interview Rep. Mo Brooks, Sen. Marsha Blackburn, and former HUD Sec. Ben Carson and other U.S. conservative leaders on preserving American freedoms and national security. Holding the China regime to account for spreading the coronavirus, suing big-tech for 1st amendment violation, combating child sex-trafficking, and America’s fentanyl epidemic are among the issues explored. While situations like the Southern border crisis threaten our nation’s stability, signs of Americans coming together to face these threats—from young to old, from worker to congressman—offer hope of restoring the nation’s strength and dignity.

                      • Factory in China explodes due to floodwater; Central Chinese city drenched with record-level rain

A record-breaking #Rainstorm hits China. Collapsed streets, flooded subway stations, deaths, and injuries — all revealed through social media. An #Explosion ignites at a metal factory in Central China. That’s after river water flooded the facility–getting into high-temperature solution inside a metal alloy tank. Today marks 22 years since the Chinese Communist Party began persecuting people who practice Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline. The U.S. State Department calls on Beijing to bring an end to the repression. A Chinese citizen is detained for killing two Chinese Communist Party officials. That’s after his house was forcibly demolished by the order of authorities. And one European country is going against a rule set by Beijing. That’s as Taiwan sets up the first-ever “Taiwanese Representative Office” in Lithuania.

                          • A comparative circumstance has worked out in the U.S., with a more slow speed and in a peaceful manner. Affected by the CCP, numerous first class American colleges have become think tanks and fortifications of radical communism. Information shows that Harvard has gotten the best option for top CCP authorities to acquire a few titles to improve themselves with personal brand coach. Its association with the CCP has been near such an extent that many allude to it as an abroad Central Party School.

Here is one model. After two eminent Chinese nonconformists, Teng Biao and Chen Guangcheng, planned a discussion at Harvard in mid 2015 to examine the CCP's wrongdoings as far as basic freedoms, they were advised by the school to drop the discussion on the grounds that the Harvard president had recently gotten back from China in the wake of meeting top CCP pioneer Xi Jinping. This was accounted for in an April 2020 article from The Crimson named "The End of Harvard Century."

                            • Chinese residents struggle in rising flood water; Soldiers blast dam in China breached by rain

Chinese state-run media reports are focusing on the effectiveness of the ongoing rescue work amid severe flooding. But social media users are painting a different picture. Chinese citizens are questioning why authorities didn’t give notice before opening the floodgates of a reservoir, after the released water flooded residential areas downstream. A third Chinese dam failed amid heavy rains. First, there was an over 60-foot-wide breach in the structure. Later, soldiers blasted a gap in it Wednesday, hoping to let floodwaters out. Chinese state-backed media are airing reports about #SevereFlooding in Europe. But they’re not giving much detail on flooding on home soil—instead praising the beauty of Beijing’s post-rain sky. In the United States, the FBI tells American pipeline operators to secure their systems against foreign threats. #Hackers working for the Chinese Communist Party are known to have accessed at least 13 systems between 2011 and 2013.
